The Other Neighbour (Part 1)

Let's get (a bit) north-er!

The journey :
Thank God I woke up on time, even though as usual I failed to fall asleep early - met Nini at 7:15 - took train to Harbourfront - checked in - McD breakfast (that's one).

The boarding place's apparently located near the cruise center,
and it looked soooo glamorously fresh in the morning.

The bus was comfy, and very on time. We left 3 minutes before schedule.

Thumbs up for the instrumental music played along the way to immigration checkpoint - it played well with my emotion ahahah, somehow it made me feel like I was in.. Japan? But seriously I was sooo happy looking out of the window seeing the countryside, seeing things, seeing green, seeing unknown remote factories, seeing.. Hokkaido? It even looked Swiss and Austrian sometimes. Blame the music.

Or not. It was truly beautiful outside.

And here we go,
Crossing the strait via TSL : woo-hoo!!!! Stunning!
I see waaaaaterrrr!!!

Thank God everything went smooth - and it's time for the long ride. Another 4 hours of looking out of the window. Nah, the rest of the highway was so : Indonesia!!!! Because there were :

those kinda green mountains :D,

gerbang tollll ya ampuuun hahahah - ERP no more,

and this. Duh.

Nah, the bus' concept is like flying on land, so it's just like an airplane with a pilot, a steward, and a MEAL. That's two. I know it doesn't look so good in the photo but it tasted great. The meal was erm, kinda risky for traveling actually, eggy and mayo-creamy, but the curry (serius enak banget) was there to balance things up.
Yea - it was a great meal, for me. Nini seemed to hate it.

And pramugaranya mirip Dimas Beck deh kurus2 kasian gitu. Trus suka senyum2 ngeliatin kita. Hah?

And thank God, I managed to fall asleep woo-hoo, and again, it cut a lot of highway hurray!

Sunway.
Err..

Anyway my first impression about Sunway : kog feel-nya kayak Tangerang ya?

Nini : Dev lu udah kangen Singapore belom?
Gw : Lumayan, baru gw mo ngomong ahahah.

We arrived in Sunway Pyramid around 2pm and it was burning in there. Thank God our inn.. err... hotel, was only around 7 minutes walking from the mall. The hotel staff weren't so friendly but the room and the bathroom were quite clean yaaay, a budget hotel is still a hotel ahahah. And there it was, hanging gracefully on top corner, a small TV with ESPN kyaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Thank God. Ya ampun. I was there watching Sportscenter. NatGeo and Star Movies were there too. Yaay.

It's a room for two : me, Nini, and Regina. Ahahah. Of course we could fit into a queen - sized bed badan udah kayak model semua gitu.

After putting our stuff we went to the mall. A mall. Ah, my comfort level went up drastically soon after the wind of the aircon blew and the open doors of stores greeted Hi. Not long after that we met Regina and Yosua - and we went to Nando's for some chicken. That's three. And that's enough. I gotta stop.

*Kangen Bubble Tea*

Sebenernya gw beneran sempet homesick, tapi abis makan Nando's jadi tenang, gyaaahahaha laper kali yah. Edan masih sore makan udah 3 kali.

Then a trip to supermarket : we were mesmerized by exotic unhealthy snacks that would never be found in Singapore, Regina bahkan mo beli krim ******** ahahahah. We still need some time to adjust our currency mind setting into RM wow everything seemed wow.

Nini then met her 'Manado in Malaysia' friends and me & Regina met Agung, our high school friend who brought us around the big mall. Nah benerannn mirip Tangerang hahaha, jadi Sunway Pyramid itu Lippo Supermall-nya.

I love this indoor fruit stall :DDDD

And look at the price kyaaaa kalappp.
We're talkin' cents in SGD.

Then. Hix. It happened again. I gave up to Korean Spicy Ramen huuuuhuuu. That's four. In a day. Gimana nihhhhh. Feeling guilty, we continued walking and walking. Agung also brought us to 'the other' hotel. As Nini said, "There are only 2 in Sunway, the 5 stars and the budget"

Kapan2 deh yah. Amiiin.

After that we met Nini & friends (Theoz & Patrice) in the nearby KFC. They we're eating fried chicken with chicken rice woww hahaha gotta try next time. What we did were talking, photo -taking, kongkowing, photo-taking, laughing, and photo-taking hahahahah. And we're all very entertained with Regina's "dazzling" Manado accent :D ahahah.

It was a fun and tiring day, CAN'T WAIT FOR KL TOMORROW WOO-HOO!!!
