Saturday Underwater

I love Sea World. Because I get to see SHARKS and there's a protective glass between me and their teeth. I dunno what's up with me and sharks, childhood memories? (Jaws - any of them - is one of the most influential films in my life - Benchley and Spielberg are apparently the 2 people responsible for my premonitions towards the water. Well R. L. Stine too, in a way), I even had vivid dreams about the creature a couple of times. Well let's hope we'll never be found in the same water.

I know I acted weird when I came back to Jakarta over the weekend last month. I begged (dragged) my parents and little brother to the Sea World. I don't know, I was in urge to revisit my childhood (and to see sharks). And it was apparently the first time for my dad haha. Since we always go to malls at the weekends, it was very heartwarming to see them among saltwater critters.

I used to think Ancol's Sea World is better than the one in Sentosa until that Saturday. Just like other local attractions after OrBa (except Dufan and malls), it looked like they had stopped grooming, the just didn't look so 'alive' anymore. Aquariums with dirty water I beg you please, I couldn't even see the dugong.

They are always proud with their "KOLAM HIU" (sharks tank), but come on, I know it's a little demanding but, you know, what we really want to see is the mighty, great white sharks. Not the 'small' sharks swimming in there as we speak. You can fool me when I was little but not now!

Well even though they aren't the great whites, but sticking my face against the tank would still stir up adrenaline rush, well the excitement degree is equal too, ehm...bungee jumping.

I think exhibitions are always great for dating, it's a convenient way to be together, witnessing something, to learn or to be amazed. This kind of place is a form of exhibition, too. So. Someone please. Take me to any Sea World/Ocean Park/Underwater World/anywhere (with protective glass) out there with great white sharks.
