Race Day!

Every September, these 3 girls will gather in Singapore for the
ear-splitting experience of speed, precision, bright lights, and pretty faces!

Annual pose.

As usual, although the race started at 8, walkabout ticket holders like us would have to be on stand by from around 3PM to secure front row seats haha. We found a perfect standing area last year, just in front of a turn, beside a grandstand (there's a big screen for each grandstand). So you'll get to see the cars slowing down + know what's going on. This year, the screen was shifted a little further away from us + the gap between our seats and the fence got larger. Hmmh.

While we were 'fresh' enough to smile. I'm telling you 3o minutes
after the pics were taken we're already like GRAAAAAHHH
due to heat + long wait + incorrect sitting position.

I don't know why the waiting time felt horribly longer than last year.
Probably because we no longer had an ESSAY to write by the circuit? :p

When the *drum rolls* DRIVERS' PARADE finally started, we had 2 options: to leave the seats, stand and lean on the fence for better vision on those faces, or to sit down, keeping our seats. As expected of course we chose the 1st option. Let others take our seats. So we sacrificed the front row. Sat on the second row when the race started, but tsk all we could see is bule's butts, so we had to stand up if we want to watch the race, aaaaaalllll the way until the last lap. That's what I meant by "the gap between our seats and the fence got significantly larger".

Do ya'll understand that?

Now I realized why last year's F1 experience was superb: great seats, prominent spot, perfectly visible screen, impressive actions - great race! And we got to see all those while sitting down! Nah this year, even the race was boring. No Hamilton walking in front of us after a crash.

Have I mentioned that my drivers' parade photos were all blurry?

Anyway the race might be boring, but the next bash is fantastically the opposite!

You know what, if you proceed to the concert venue right after the circuit
gates are open, you'll have the chance to get fanzone bans, and we got them!

For Linkin Park!!!!!!!!!!

Woo-hoo what an experience! Watching the show from the fan zone was such a privilege :D And they're awesome, really. We actually planned to leave earlier to avoid human-jam, but we couldn't, because they're too awesome! Almost as awesome as Muse, almost. They performed almost all the hits I think, our favorite moments were when Numb and In The End happened.

And I didn't know Mike Shinoda's that charming in person.

Brad Delson

Mike Shinoda and...Mr Hahn!!!

Chester Bennington (try pronouncing with Batak aksen)

They use black and white screen plus LinkinPark-sy graphics,
it actually looked cooler that way.

Oh about drivers sighting, hmm. Actually Schumi made an appearance in Paragon and Mas Jensen in Ion, but both happened on the convo day! Aiyoh. We only went to Senna and Grosjean meet and greet - (well, his last name is Senna!!!), took great pics like this:
:D

And Grosjean was spotted buying a cup of Starbucks before the race, nobody seemed to notice him, hmmh Singapore is a great place to chase celebrities, not much enthusiasm. Oh and we also caught a glimpse of Sir Richard Branson earlier in Marina Square!
