Sleeping Matters. A Jealousy-based Post.

Some people, like the roommate are just gifted. To sleep. The lucky, talented ones who are able to go blank within minutes or even seconds. And they can do it everywhere: in the car, plane, train, sofa, office, everywhere. That’s definitely something to be jealous of.

I can do that occasionally when I’m very, very exhausted, but there are also random periods of giving up after 3 hours of tossing and turning, tired of prolonged attempts to shut the brain down, looking at the roommate and wonder how she did it.

And I’d usually ask her in the morning. “Did you sip my ability to sleep last night?”

And we’d laugh. She didn’t know I was serious. Until she reads this post.

Sometimes it’s over-excitement. Sometimes it’s caffeine. Sometimes it’s my arch-enemy –MIGRAINE, but sometimes it just happens. Ngyah, nothing to do with anxiety or excitement. And at times, THAT happens when I have to get up early in the morning.

So typically, after like 3 hours of (finally) sleeping, I would get up – weeping over the lost precious hours.

And the roommate would say something like. “Wow I literally just slept for 10 hours”. Then she would continue sleeping. I wonder how. Howwww.
